I made Winnie The Pooh themed cupcakes to give to my cousin as a Wedding Anniversary gift. They're honey hunny flavoured, too. :3 I hand made the ears and bumblebees out of fondant; spending over three hours just trying to figure out the logistics of them before making the fondant pieces you see here.
They took SO long to make, but I'm 90% happy with the finished result, which is uncommon with my work. Hehe.
(Also... Eeyore and Tigger were also made, but not photographed here. The reasons for that are 1) I didn't like how they turned out as much, and 2) the photograph WITH them looks terrible... I'll upload it to dA if - and only if - people want to see them, though.)
Giving a good review about this because it's really cute. And cupcakes goes well with every childhood's favorite treat.
I have to disregard on the wires you put into this cupcakes.. They tend to become hazardous to children if exposed too.
But to put it this way.. It looks nice and delicious. You piped the mousse or icing nice and neat. Curious enough as to what you used on the ears. Are those fondant ears? I can't recall as much but still, cute and simply delicious. I would definitely want one of these when I have a kid one day.
Thanks for uploading such a cute photo and keep on cooking and as always as to what I say in most of my critiques always present with passion!
I didn't even have to read the description! I recognized that it was Winnie and Piglet right away
That frosting looks delicious, that cake looks fluffy, and the colors are beautiful I am willing to bet that they taste as good as they look
The only thing I would say should be an issue may be that you don't want to use in-edible substances in cupcakes, things like wires can give you the effect you want, but should be replaced by something edible as often as possible.
However: Piglet's and Pooh's ears are flawless, and those bumble bees are cute as a button!
I expect you should please the recipient of the cupcakes with little, to no trouble
These cupcakes are my favorite of the ones you've created so far! Every time I look at them, I notice something new. Like today I realized that the wrapper for Pooh's cupcake was red, and then I remembered that Pooh wears a red shirt!!! I would have never thought of doing something like that! Your attention to detail is incredible, Jess!!
These looks very tasty I'll have to try to make cupcakes with honey sometime, saying I love honey! Can I ask for the recipe, by the way? They look so soft and tasty OwO And so well done!~
I don't really follow recipes, I just go with a basic sponge recipe (which I have memorised better than the back of my hand) and improvise with the flavouring, then I just hope for the best! Hehe.
However, seeing as though you're the second person to ask for the recipe to one of my honey-based cupcakes, I'll write up some kind of recipes for both of you at some point either tonight or tomorrow. I'll most likely upload them in the form of a journal, so I'll send you a link to said journal/s when they're done!
Oh, and thank you so much for your comment! It means a lot.
